Details

General School Info: We are a private educational institution, and our teachers have a great deal of control over planning and developing educational programming. Our school had a gardening club a couple of years ago and we have been looking to restart such a program. Many parents, staff members, and alumni are involved with gardening and will prove to be assets for the initial setup, and then continuation, of the program.

Our Gardening Goal: Our school’s gardening goal includes bringing a hands-on experience to the students of our institution. Through getting their hands dirty, the children will get to participate in a project that promotes urban gardening methods. The grant will assist us in installing Woolly Walls for an outdoor vertical garden and also install them indoors to improve the air quality of our stairwells, and continue to develop our composting programs that will provide natural fertilizer to our plants.
