General School Info: The Wignall Museum of Contemporary Art and Chaffey College both have immense experience working with children and adults. Equally, of the 25 members of the Chaffey College Garden Team, many are extremely experienced gardeners and educators (many are college professors). We are eager and excited to start a vertical garden on our school grounds!
Our Gardening Plan: Our primary goal is to have the garden serve as our hands-on outdoor classroom, to give our students and community the opportunity to grow food for themselves and their families. In addition, the sites can serve as learning tools across the curriculum including nutrition, the sciences, the arts, early childhood education, history and much, much more. A Whole Kids grant would make it possible for us to create a series of outdoor classrooms & to beautify the school landscape.
We are fundraising up to $1,160 so that we may include a drip kit and mini-wallys!
