General School Info: Jacobs Primary School is excited about the prospect of teaching its students self-sustaining life skills as well as the importance of good nutrition with the introduction of the Woolly School Pocket Garden program to its curriculum. Hancock County is actively addressing the issues of food insecurity and childhood obesity. This creative gardening opportunity (which is not limited to a certain time of year or climate) will equip educators with a hands-on classroom experience, intentionally laying the foundation for a more secure and healthful future for its students. The cost is only $1,000 and with the possibility of obtaining a grant, it may be as little as $500. The return on investment is priceless. Please consider a donation toward this project and make a difference in the future of our community and its citizens.
